Hi, I'm Vanessa
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in ADHD, Autism, LGBTQIA+-affirming care, Anxiety, and Depression — serving adults across North Carolina via teletherapy.
My approach is grounded in warmth, clinical rigor, and genuine understanding. I want you to feel seen — not just assessed.

I didn't come to therapy because it seemed like a stable career. I came to it because I've always been drawn to the people who don't fit neatly into the systems built for someone else. My connection to this work isn't just professional — it's deeply personal. I understand these experiences from the inside.
Before entering clinical practice, I spent 11 years at Cooke Schools — a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children and young adults with disabilities. There I worked in person-centered planning and transition coordination, helping individuals with ADHD, Autism, and other neurodivergent profiles navigate education, independence, and self-advocacy. That work shaped how I think about therapy: not as a diagnostic exercise, but as collaborative planning for a life that actually fits you.
I completed my Master of Social Work at Fordham University, where I deepened my grounding in systemic thinking, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based approaches. Clinical training at MindPath Care Centers followed — where I worked with adults navigating complex presentations of Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and Autism in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
I launched Nash LCSW PLLC because I saw a gap: adults who had spent years being told their traits were problems to eliminate, their identities were obstacles, or their insurance made them undeserving of affirming care. That's not the therapy I practice.
Today I work with adults across North Carolina who are navigating ADHD and Autism — including late-diagnosed and twice-exceptional individuals. LGBTQIA+ clients who want a therapist who understands their lives without having to explain the basics. And anyone working through Anxiety or Depression who is ready to build something that actually holds.
If any of this sounds like your experience, I'd genuinely love to connect. The first conversation is always free — and completely without pressure.
